Florida pool barrier code — done right the first time

Every pool installed in Florida requires a barrier compliant with FBC Section 454.2.17 and the Residential Swimming Pool Safety Act. The basic requirements are 48" minimum height, no climbable footholds, gaps no greater than 4", self-closing self-latching gates with the latch a minimum of 54" above the ground, and the latch opening to the inside of the enclosure.

We've installed hundreds of pool enclosures across Collier and Lee County. Every fence we install passes inspection on the first attempt — because we know the code, the local inspectors, and how to document it.

Options for every backyard

Most Naples homeowners choose powder-coated aluminum pool fencing. It's slim, attractive, won't rust, won't rot, and complements virtually every architectural style. Other popular options:

  • Powder-coated aluminum (most popular) — black, bronze, or custom finish
  • Removable mesh fencing — perfect for child safety with grandchildren visiting
  • Glass panel pool enclosures for unobstructed sight lines
  • Wrought iron for traditional and Mediterranean style homes
  • Code-compliant self-closing, self-latching gates with magnetic latches
